1.Comprehensive Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with an in-depth consultation with Dr. Bahi including:
• Assessment with a CT scan, intraoral scans and 3D facial scan
• Detailed measurements of your facial structure
• A personalized 3D treatment plan showing before-and-after projections
• A collaborative plan of action with your orthodontist or referring specialist
2. Pre-Surgical Orthodontics (6–12+ Months)
Before surgery, braces will be used to move your teeth into an optimal position so that your bite aligns properly after surgery. This process typically takes 6 to 12 months, depending on complexity.
3. Surgical Procedure
Surgery is performed at the hospital under general anesthesia. Dr. Bahi will skillfully reposition your jaw bones and secure them using small plates and screws for lasting support. Most patients remain in the hospital for 1–2 days post-surgery.
4. Post-Surgical Care
Recovery is monitored closely by our team and includes:
• 1–2 months of follow-up appointments with Dr. Bahi
• A Liquid diet for the first 3 weeks
• A non-chew diet for the next 3 weeks
• A soft-chew and normal diet can begin after 6 -8 weeks
• Most patients return to school or work within 1–2 weeks
