After having oral surgery, including the removal of teeth, you may not have much of an appetite right off the bat, but if you do, you may be stuck when it comes to deciding what to eat.
You will want to choose foods that are soft, easy to consume, and will satisfy your hunger. Avoid anything that is hard to chew, spicy, acidic, or crunchy!
Oh, and be sure not to use a straw for liquids, as they can disrupt healing…and create dry sockets.
Here is the list:
- Jello
- Chicken, beef, or veggie broth
- Mashed bananas
- Oatmeal
- Mashed avocado
- Applesauce
- Porridge
- Custard
- Ice Cream
- Scrambled Eggs
- Mashed Potatoes
- Cheesecake (yes, you deserve a treat!)
- Cottage cheese
- Pudding
- Risotto
- Puree Soups
- Smoothies
- Yogurt
- Popsicles
- Pasta (well cooked)
- Mac & cheese
